Mike Harrington, Rotary Area 16 Assistant Governor, recently presented to the Westfield Academy and Central School (WACS) and its Band Department, its students and community the results of another Rotary Club of Westfield-Mayville and Rotary District 7090 Grant initiative.It that started over a year ago with Mr. Chagnon, band director, playing a 106-year-old baritone euphonium before the Westfield-Mayville Rotary Club!
At that time, he asked for assistance in supporting the Band music program at WACS.
Presented were four (4) new, high quality Band instruments; a Yamaha Clarinet, Flute, Saxophone and Trumpet each with their own case valued at nearly $3,000 which be available for generations of students to enjoy and use for years to come.
