We started out the rotary year with a picnic, celebrating our 75th anniversary! Our hosts were Bob and Lisa Breidenstein. We presented a check to the West Seneca Food Pantry and we had a special guest - Phebian Abdulai of Jericho Road. Phebian was visiting the area from Sierra Leone, where the West Seneca Rotary club purchased a generator during the previous year. Jericho has a health clinic in Sierra Leone.PHOTO 1: Phebian Abdulai of Jericho Road spoke at the West Seneca Rotary Club Picnic.

The Rotary Club also presented the Grace Guest House, located on Seneca Street, Buffalo with a check of $2000. Below is a Thank you from the Grace House executive director -Thank you again for your generous “Give 716” gift match!
I wanted to share the full impact of your support:
Your commitment — along with the support of KPMG — helped us reach our $5,000 match goal going into “Give 716.”
Online during the campaign, we raised an additional $5,522, exceeding the gift match!
A few donors who were unable to use the website contributed separately, bringing in an extra $275.
As of today, our grand total, including the Rotary Club of West Seneca’s match, is $10,797!
Thank you so very much! This was one of our most successful “Give 716” campaigns ever! I can truly say, this would not have been as successful without your support!!
I hope you will share my heartfelt gratitude with the rest of the members! Looking forward to growing our partnership.

In August - our speaker was Liam Feeney (Nelson's Cosgrove grandson). Liam Feeney, along with 3 other Boston University Men's Rowing mates, competed in the U19 World Rowing Championships in Trakai, Lithuania.
