January has been a busy month for the Rotary Club of Kenmore and Kenmore West Interact Club completing two Purplie Pinkie Projects! On January 9th, the Rotary Club of Kenmore and the Kenmore West Interact Club brought the “Purple Pinkie Project” to Hoover Middle School and Hoover Elementary School! The amazing students raised $485 to support Rotary’s PolioPlus fund! The best part? The Kenmore Rotary will match this $485 to become $970. Then the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation matches these funds 2-to-1, turning our $970 donation into $2,910!
Following an awesome Purple Pinkie Project at Hoover Elementary & Middle School on January 9th, the Rotary Club of Kenmore and the Kenmore West Interact Club brought the Purple Pinkie Project to Lindbergh Elementary on January 16th! The amazing Lindbergh students stepped up in a big way, raising $310 for the PolioPlus Fund! By simply getting their pinkies painted purple for $1, our students are helping to provide hundreds of life-saving vaccines to children across the globe and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation matches these funds 2-to-1as well! A huge thank you to the Lindbergh faculty, students, and our dedicated Interact volunteers for helping eradicate polio.
We are one step closer to a polio-free world!
