NEW HAMBURG ROTARIAN
Mike Charlesworth, center, is the newest member of the Rotary Club of Hamburg. Mike is the district director of the Buffalo office of the Great Falls Council of Scouting in America.
At left is John Nowak who has agreed to extend his term as president of the Hamburg organization for a second year through June 2027.
Earl Knauss, right, was the speaker at the Sept. 1 meeting, reflecting on his life as a construction contractor in Pennsylvania and New York State prior to his retirement.
Earl is most prominently known as the founder of Rotary’s Farm to Family Program which provides over 100,000 pounds of fresh vegetables annually to families through Western New York food distribution centers, food pantries and soup kitchens.
Farm to Family actively provides the produce up to six days per week from May through December when vegetables are available.
Hamburg Rotary meets at Uncle Joe’s Diner, Hamburg at 6 p.m. on the first and third Tuesdays of the month.
