The Grand Island Community collection of new warm underclothes and socks to benefit those in need, sponsored by the Rotary Club of Grand Island, has ended.Through the generosity of the community, local businesses, and local churches, we collected over 20 large bags to be donated to the Niagara Gospel Mission, the Community Mission, the Homeless Coalition of the Tonawandas, and the Lighthouse Ministry.
The need for warm, comfortable, dry clothing has never been more urgent, with our subzero temperatures this January.
