I ask that any President and/or other Directors as well as Chairs and especially Ribfest Chairs to email me at RotaryFortErie@gmail.com for an opportunity to increase your fundraising by several hundred dollars. Several hundred dollars is not a lot. But it is something. Please tell me how big the club is and if it is Ribfest or something smaller. The opportunity will be fine-tuned to the size of the club. It doesn’t hurt to send that email.

Now back to the normally scheduled stories...
It is a slow month for our club in terms of exciting news. But it is a busy month for our members.In addition to our other activities; for the end of Nov and the first half of Dec, the Fort Erie club
members are busy on Saturdays at Walmart doing the Salvation Army Kettles. This is our way
to help provide the needy with a Christmas dinner. Salvation Army does NOT schedule our volunteering, our Treasurer, JohnB., schedules the whole thing. All hours of Saturdays at Walmart were volunteered by our members. The nice thing about Kettles: new members get their feet wet right away in terms of volunteering/fundraising.
The enclosed picture shows two of our newest members doing Kettles: Jeanne and Kathy. (Normally one person does Kettles at a time, but having multiple people do it initially makes it less scary for new members.)
We have fun talking to donors. We have the opportunity to seek new members. And I kill any boredom when the security alarm goes off, by yelling in my head: “Run”! Kidding, LOL.
