On Saturday September 26, the Rotary Club of Dundas Valley Sunrise hosted our first Dundas Duck Derby!All 1,000 ducks were sold out a couple weeks in advance and the weather was perfect, which brought many spectators out to see the action.
A Facebook Live video stream was also offered with many people watching online.
The venue for our club meetings (Amica Dundas) provided a barbecue lunch, games for kids, and the opportunity to view the conclusion of the race on a big screen.
The winners were thrilled ($2,500 for 1st place, $1,000 for 2nd place, and $500 for 3rd place), the Rotary Club of Dundas Valley Sunrise netted approx. $13,000, and by all accounts, everyone had fun!
