PEDAL FOR POLIO

Please join us for the 2nd Annual Dr. Ron Mergl Pedal for Polio fundraiser to be held on Saturday, October 2, 2021.  There will be two rides - one on each side of the border starting at 10:00 a.m.  There are also two registrations under Upcoming Events.  Please register appropriately for the country of your choice.

We are seeking volunteers to assist in the event as well as cyclists and walkers.

This year the Canadian ride will start at St. David's Lions Club and will head towards the Shaw Festival and return back to St. David's - approximately 25 kilometers.  The Rotary Club of Niagara-on-the-Lake is once again hosting the event at the park and a meal will be served.  You must register online and pay $10 Canadian for the meal.

On the American side the plan is to start in Lewiston at the Hennipen Park at Center Street and 4th Street, heading north to Fort Niagara in Youngstown and return - approximately 13 miles.

Our goal is to raise $60,000 USD. We will be using the raise.rotary.org fundraising

platform again this year. A page has been set up. Google raise.rotary.org/Frank-Adamson/challenge1 and donate directly or tab onto Team Members to set your own page. Many of you did this last year.

So, we are asking that each Club to find a cyclist or two and register. We can accommodate 100 cyclists.
