Two scholarships were awarded during the "A Salute to Excellence" Honors and Awards Ceremony at Williamsville South High School.Recipients are required to meet the Rotary qualifications, which include maintaining a minimum GPA of 3.0, demonstrating leadership qualities through school clubs, athletics, or community service, submitting a resume detailing their leadership experiences, and writing a 100-word composition on how these experiences have impacted them, along with an essay explaining why they believe they deserve the scholarship.
The two recipients are Jordyn Marcus and Dee Pratan Purba.
Jordyn will be attending the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill to pursue Psychology on a pre-med track, while Dee will be studying Biology/Pre-Physician Assistant at D'Youville University.
