Recently, at the Westfield-Mayville Rotary Club meeting, Westfield YWCA Executive Director, Stephanie Stevens and GLI Program Director, Bonnie Hartley presented the ever expanding “Girls Leadership Initiative” at the Y.The afterschool program is designed for local 8th grade girls and up. Here are just some of the goals:
- build self-confidence,
- learn to network and to learn that we need others in our lives
- develop community relationships,
- learn how to self-regulate anxiety and tune into internal self.
- use their voice confidently
Mentors and volunteers are being sought!
