dent Vic welcomed Welland Rotarians and family members and thanked them for allowing him to be president this past year. “On taking on the role of president of our club last year, I reflected on the changes to the Rotary organization that have taken place in the 40 years since I last served in that capacity. In the wake of other societal changes, Rotary has become less formal and more inclusive, witness the election of Jennifer Jones as the first woman RI President (Canadian too). What has not changed is the basic ideal of organizing to improve the lives of our fellow human beings, both in our local community as well as internationally, and to live up to our motto of SERVICE ABOVE SELF.”
On the evening of June 26th, the Rotary Club of Welland's President Vic Kerschl and President-Elect Tammy Morden hosted a year-end social celebration at Mr. Mikes. This was another great opportunity for the club members to celebrate face-to-face after 27 months of ’isolation’.
