Youth Exchange student Sophie Blain, who returned from her year in Denmark in July, was the guest speaker at the Waterdown Rotary Club's Sept. 14 meeting.She was happy to share details about her experiences and the country, including the foods, a little Viking history, school and local customs and practices -- including 'hygge'.
Sophie stayed with three families during her exchange year - one of which was in a castle!
