I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to each Rotarian district member for the immense support Rotary District 7090 has provided. Our collaborative efforts with local Rotary clubs have proven instrumental in making a difference in the lives of those in need.
Our recent focus has been on aiding Ukraine, where upcoming laws threaten our ability to continue essential shipments after April 1, 2024. In response to this urgency, we are committed to sending one more container of medical and humanitarian aid to Ukraine.
Local partners, including Niagara Warehouse of Hope, Not Just Tourists Niagara, For The Needy Not The Greedy, and Niagara Christian Gleaners, have been steadfast in their support, contributing rehabilitation equipment, medical supplies, and non-perishable food. However, our primary challenge lies in gathering the necessary funds, approximately $10,000 CAD, to cover the shipment cost from St. Catharines to Ivano-Frankivsk.
Donations can be made through various methods, such as credit card, e-transfer, or cheque. Every contribution is crucial to making this shipment a reality, and we assure you that funds will be allocated transparently, with receipts and pictures provided for confirmation.
I would also like to highlight the success of our previous ventures, secured with grants from Rotary International in 2022 and 2023. These efforts facilitated the shipment of essential supplies, demonstrating the tangible impact of our joint endeavors.
Your continued support is vital in our mission to alleviate the suffering of those in need. I sincerely hope that Rotary District 7090 will once again stand with us in this noble cause.
