The countdown to the Rotary Club of St. Catharines’ most anticipated event of the year has begun!
On January 23rd, John Potts, co-chair of the Rib Fest Committee, officially launched the 25th anniversary of Rib Fest.
With promises of sizzling barbecue, live entertainment, and family-friendly fun, John emphasized the importance of teamwork, calling for volunteers and sponsors to make this milestone event bigger and better than ever.

The countdown to the Rotary Club of St. Catharines’ most anticipated event of the year has officially begun! On January 23rd, John Potts, co-chair of the Rib Fest Committee, delivered a spirited address to launch the 25th anniversary of Rib Fest.
Speaking to an enthusiastic audience of Rotarians and community supporters, John highlighted the significance of Rib Fest—not just for its legendary barbecue but for its lasting impact on the community.
“Rib Fest has always been more than just ribs,” John remarked. “It’s about bringing people together, supporting local causes, and, of course, having fun while doing it.”
John also emphasized the importance of teamwork and volunteerism, encouraging members to sign up for “bite-sized tasks” so responsibilities are evenly distributed.
Scheduled to run from August 1st to August 4th, this year’s Rib Fest promises to bring the community together while raising vital funds for the club’s ongoing service projects and initiatives. With sizzling barbecue, live entertainment, family-friendly activities, and plenty of surprises in store, the 25th Rib Fest is shaping up to be the best yet.
