RI Membership Referral Process Changing
Currently, people who are interested in joining Rotary can submit their name and some background information through the Rotary Internation web site. When I get these, in my role as District Membership Chair, I follow up to see which club they might be interested in joining and then I forward the candidate’s information on to the club for follow up.
RI is innovating this process for connecting prospective members and referrals with clubs by empowering candidates with the knowledge they need to find their home in Rotary and connect them to a club right away.
So, instead of the leads coming to the District, potential members will be able to select a club and express their interest directly with the club.
This new system gives clubs the ability to directly receive, engage, and follow up with membership candidates who have expressed interest in joining their club.
This modernized membership leads management system will make it easier, faster, and more intuitive for club leaders to follow up with the candidates who have expressed interest in becoming a member of their club.
If a club does not respond within 10 days, District leadership will be notified, allowing them to focus on opportunities to support clubs in attracting members.
More information will be coming shortly but clubs will need to ensure that their profile information with RI is up to date so potential new members have the information they need to select a club they are interested in joining.
Thank you for your commitment to growing Rotary!
