For the 2nd year in a row the Orchard Park Rotary held a free fishing derby for children who were 15 years old and younger.On Saturday June 22nd over 100 children attended the derby.
The club stocked Green Lake with 25 largemouth bass.
Each fish had a small tag on it. Depending on the tag number, the fish were worth $10 or $50.
At the end of the day the club awarded five $50 prizes and ten prizes @ $10.
Win or lose, every child walked away with a bag of TimBits, a token for a free ice cream cone, and a cold bottle of water.
