IS YOUR CLUB LOOKING FOR WAYS TO APPEAL TO 21 TO 30 YEAR OLDS?
Then why don’t you start advertising and talking up a new Rotary International program that we have brought to District 7090 - namely the New Generations Service Exchange.
Individuals can apply to our District to be “in-bound” or “out-bound”. Ideally the candidates are between the ageas of 21 and 30 years and have an identified vocation to which he / she wants to learn more about. The individual identifies how much time they can afford to take for this exchange (e.g., one month, 6 weeks, 3 months) and we as Rotarians find them individuals to job shadow and others who will billet this individual in our district or abroad.
It is an exciting new program. We have a young adult wanting to learn more about dentistry from the Ukraine arriving in the Waterdown area shortly. We are seeking out Rotarians and friends of Rotarians who can offer interesting job shadowing opportunities in that field.
So please start advertising this interesting program to potential outbound young adults who want to go out from 7090 to another country in the world for this individualized exchange. Also be on standby as we continue to receive applications from in-bound applicants … We may come knocking on your club door to ask if you could host this individual in your home and / or help find individuals who can offer volunteer opportunities so this individual can see how their vocation works in Ontario or New York State.
