The Town of Lincoln is celebrating another successful community partnership thanks to a $5,000 grant from the Rotary Club of Lincoln, supporting the creation of a native garden at St. Volodymyr Park in Beamsville.The project includes the planting of two tulip trees and a variety of native plants, enhancing the park's natural beauty while supporting biodiversity, pollinators and a healthier local ecosystem.
Funding for the project was made possible through a grant received by the Rotary Club of Lincoln from Rotary International.
The Club anticipates bringing similar native garden projects to other locations throughout the community in the future.
"This project is a wonderful example of what can be accomplished when community organizations and local government work together toward a shared vision," said Lincoln Mayor Sandra Easton.
"The new native garden will create a welcoming public space for residents to enjoy while supporting environmental sustainability and enhancing one of our community parks.
We are grateful to the Rotary Club of Lincoln for this important investment in Lincoln."
