The Holidays Are Not Happy Times For All
Working in collaboration with the Niagara County Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse, the Rotary Club of Lewiston/NOTL distributed posters designed by Orleans/Niagara Board of Cooperative Educational Services Students to raise awareness of the NEW 988 Emergency Number to obtain Mental Health Crisis Services and the reinvigorated call center with 24-hour services.
The Holiday period between Canadian Thanksgiving through New Years is a period of increased incidence of mental health and substance abuse issues, and increasing awareness of timely services can only help ameliorate this unfortunate circumstance.
