The Rotary Club of Hamilton After Five is delighted to share the success of Itseng Moruakgomo and Hensen Seidisa, who have been awarded funding by Rotary International. Both candidates will pursue a Peace Fellowship Certificate at Makarere University in Kampala, Uganda. Our Club provided support to these two Peace Fellow candidates from Botswana during the application process.

Appreciation for Club Committee and Colleagues in Botswana: Our Club expresses gratitude to Pinkie Mothibedi and Thutego Knudsen, who are our colleagues and friends in Botswana, for introducing these outstanding candidates and actively participating in the mentoring process with us. Our Club Committee members Allyson Wenzowski, Paul Gibel, Joanna Turchin, Michel Kouassi and Christina Graham provided unwavering support and help with the process.
Competitive Nature of Fellowship Applications: The Rotary Foundation faced a rigorous selection process with nearly 600 eligible applications for only 90 fellowship awards.
The Rotary Club of Hamilton After Five will continue its dedication to supporting individuals in their pursuit of knowledge and skills that contribute to a more peaceful world as applicants for Rotary Peace Scholarships in 2024.
