Veterans were given certificates and/or gift cards to a local restaurant and, thanks to Club President Elizabeth Weber, camouflage hats supplied by her employer
BankonBuffalo. At one event club members Mike Reilly and Dave Powers joined one of the Post Commanders presenting hats at a local Assisted Living facility in Hamburg.
The Club also presented a check for $1,000.00 to a veteran continuing his education at Hilbert College. Pictured is veteran recipient of the award, Nicholas Diello, with Club President Beth Weber and our Foundation President Cathy Rybczynski.
The Rotary Club of Hamburg Sunrise's commitment to honoring US Veterans at its annual dinner was cancelled due the "The Snowstorm" on November 19th. However, club members still made individual visits and presentations to local VFW, Amvets & Legion Posts in Hamburg - weather permitting.
