Spring is springing in Grimsby!Spring has returned to Grimsby. The buds are bursting on the trees, and migratory birds are returning.
Our Rotarian curlers are putting away their brooms for the summer, but not before a few more ends in Scotland.
On April 8, the Rotary Club of Grimsby hosted a well-attended talk by renowned local naturalist Bruce McKenzie at the Grimsby Public Library. He shared his encyclopedic knowledge of our spectacular area. Spring is when birdwatchers flock to Grimsby to see birds of prey swoop across the sky. The RCOG is grateful for McKenzie’s passion for educating the public and protecting our environment.
Early in April, several RCOG members travelled to Scotland to compete in the 2026 Rotary World Curling Championships.
They did not bring home a trophy; however, team members say the friendships they forged were far more valuable.
The RCOG is looking forward to more great weather and engagement with our community.
On May 2, 2026, we will be holding our second repair café at the Grimsby Public Library. The first one was so popular that we are doing it again.
