Club of Grand Island ran a Paint Recycling Event in August. We asked our local Lion's Club to help us so we had 
enough volunteers to direct traffic through the High School Parking lot.
Club of Grand Island ran a Paint Recycling Event in August. We asked our local Lion's Club to help us so we had enough volunteers to direct traffic through the High School Parking lot. It was a huge success.
Total income $4,919.85 in donations to the Rotary Club - donations from grateful citizens were amazing.
We thanked the Lion's club for their help by presenting them a check for $1,000 out of the proceeds.
These are the stats we received back from GreenSheen, our partner company who recycles the paints and coatings into new products.
580 vehicles serviced
78 cubic yard boxes/ pallets collected
Latex/ water/ acrylic based coatings collected = 60,068 lbs
Oil based coatings collected = 6,357 lbs
