2024-2025 Paint Recycling Event Successfully concluded
For the 2nd year, Grand Island collected paint to keep them out of landfills, and collected donations, on August 3rd. The Paint Event had a steady stream of vehicles.
We thank the Grand Island, NY Lions Club for their volunteers' assistance.
For 2024 we counted 310 vehicles, bringing paint and stains for recycling into new products.
The event netted $2,554.
.40 cubic yards of boxes/ pallets were collected which contained:
>Latex/ water/ acrylic based coatings collected = 28,559 lbs.
>Oil based coatings collected = 4,627 lbs.
