The Grand Island club contributed $150 to the Grand Island Memorial Library Garden fund to finalize plans to lay a plaque honoring Richard Earne, a 42-year member of the Grand Island Library board.Dick was a long-time Rotarian and past District Governor (and who, among other accomplishments, introduced RLI and EarlyAct to our District).
He envisioned the creation of this garden to fulfill a goal he had of extending the usable library space to include a comfortable outdoor seating area for patrons to enjoy.
A dedication at the Richard Earne Memorial Reading Garden is planned for later this year.
