The Governance Committee helps to organize support for Clubs in the area of good governance education, creating needed and useful tools to help Clubs manage goals, and for the District to operate effectively. These resources are a few clicks away on the District website. We deal with issues such as insurance, policy development, effective procedures, and other changes large and small. We are always looking for leaders to join the committee in support of the work we do."Read more" to learn about:

One tool is the new District Crisis Management Plan (CMP). If your Club and community ever has a crisis we can activate the plan and help from all over the District can arrive. Clubs are also welcome to book a presentation to learn more about the CMP, especially if a similar plan at the Club level is being considered.
Another aspect is safeguarding you and your Club and its initiatives from all forms of abuse including neglect and harassment. The District Abuse and Protection (DAP) Subcommittee provided a presentation on the scope and materials in this area on August 9th It is the job of every Rotarian to care for each other with respect (and apply the four-way test) and look out for inappropriate behavior. Clubs are required by Rotary International, through the District, to review and adopt the District’s Abuse, Neglect, and Harassment Policy every year. One person from every Club should be designated as the contact for this policy. The presentation will be recorded and posted on the DAP page.
The DEI Committee – Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion – is a function of our values as an organization. We recognize that fostering diversity and promoting inclusivity is essential for creating positive and impactful change in communities around the world. This applies both at home and abroad as we create a more effective and representative organization, better equipped to address the diverse needs of communities and implement sustainable solutions. Champions of DEI can meet at the District level in this committee. If you are interested or know someone in your partner circle or group of friends, they are welcome to get involved.
