WINE & LEGACY

On Thursday, May 4, District 7090 Endowment Fund Committee held a wine tour,  wine tasting and seminar about how Rotarians and friends may leave a lasting legacy through our Rotary Foundation's Endowment Fund.
AG Frank Adamson, District 7090 Endowment Chair, led the discussion beginning with 1917 Rotary International Past President Arch Klumph, whose vision led to establishing The Rotary Foundation and earmarked that famous $26.50 he led the challenge with.  Ontario Rotarians from Fonthill, Welland, Niagara-on-the-Lake, Niagara Falls ON, St. Catharines, St. Catharines Lakeshore, St. Catharines South, Ancaster AM and Brantford came together on a rainy May 4th to enjoy Hernder Estates wine tour,  wine tasting and learning about legacies and endowments.

Present also, were PDG Karen Oakes and Wolf Lindenmann (Delhi), our long time District leader of all things Rotary Foundation.  In July, PDG Karen assumes a significant TRF role with Zone 24 East representing many districts.  John Teibert, member of St. Catharines South is the incoming 7090 TRF Director and will assume Karen's district role effective July 1.  District Governor Marlee Diehl and husband Bill (Albion Rotarians) were in attendance also, as we all celebrated The Rotary Foundation's Centennial.
