Even though Rotary is a Service Above Self organization, providing recognition from time to time is important.
Rotarians are welcome to review the bullet points below and pass on their thoughts to myself or to Sue Czyrny so we can coordinate the next step.
If there is sufficient response a small group of Rotarians in our District could form a District Awards and Recognition working group.
Please ensure that this is announced at a club meeting or two as well as in your club newsletter and is discussed at a board meeting.
The ask of you includes:
- Review RI awards by clicking here and provide related recommendations
- Provide feedback on the Rotary Club Excellence Award and to our Lighthouse Award
- Provide input and craft appropriate language for the awards and recognition area
- Edit existing and create new content on our District website to aid clubs
- Suggest any initiatives, especially as it relates to a Paul Harris Award
- Review any RI awards and recommend possible District or Club equivalents.
