CLT - MAKING A DIFFERENCE

The morning started off with an upbeat address by District Governor Marlee Diehl and incoming District Governor Reg Madison who explained with enthusiasm the Rotary 2017-2018 theme “Making a Difference”.
There were 30 breakout sessions that followed – 10 per time slot. The topics ranged from “On Boarding new Members” to “Using Facebook and Twitter” to “Managing Conflict” and “Global Grants”. There was something for everyone. There were over 70+ individuals who attended this event for the first time and we are happy to say that the overall evaluations were very positive.
The event concluded with an interesting presentation from Randy Hendriks who spoke about Fundraising in the new Economy and offered some interesting ideas on social enterprise for our Rotary clubs to consider. Everyone was on their way by 2:00 p.m. having heard some new ideas, met some new friends and inspired to “make a difference” in the coming year.
