Buffalo Sunrisers were delighted to have a return visit by PDG Kevin and Nancy Crosby – both at our morning meeting, and again at a Happy New Rotary year party at the Norton home. Kevin has been the lead member in his club securing a Global Grant to fund an ambulance for mountainous Malawi and is starting a new club near their home on John’s Island, SC.Members also enjoyed an informative talk from Davina Moss, PhD, for our final July meeting. Dr. Moss is an Adjunct Professor at New York University, a Volunteer Assistant Research Professor at State University of New York at Buffalo’s Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences Family Medicine Department, Adjunct professor at New York University’s Mental Health Counseling and Wellness. She is the author and creator of the Positive Direction Model® which is integrated in OBGYN offices and Federally Qualified Health Centers throughout New York State.
August begins our pilot year in a well-researched new Rotary Club shared leadership model. Jill Norton will head up the year’s meetings, assisted by each of the Board of Directors. We are excited to be able to work out this model and potentially share it with other clubs in District 7090.
