The Rotary Club of Buffalo Sunrise is pleased to announce we are hosting a friend/fundraiser on Wednesday, February 25th from 6-8 at PAUSA Art House in Buffalo. (See flyer in "read more...")We are holding this event to raise funds to support our Rotary Club’s new and ongoing local and international projects.
Each year we:
• Spend $2,500 to sponsor two Youth exchange students, one that we host from abroad and a local student that we send abroad for the year.
• We adopted the Tow Path Park as part of a greater Greenway Project Initiative. To date we have purchased benches for the area and installed a peace pole, a little library, and native pollinator garden.
• We have a $5,000 new fundraising goal to install water fountains along the bike path for riders to use.
• We have provided tools to the Providence Farm Collective in their effort to engage refugees in sustainable farming practices, growing vegetables from their native countries.
• We have an ongoing financial commitment to the 7090 Human Trafficking Grant.
