The Rotary Club of Buffalo is proud to contribute to the WNY community by distributing nearly $25,000 in grant money to organizations in need.
Here is where the Fall cycle, totaling $24,924 went:
Haircuts for Those in Need $10,000
·       Award of $10,000 to purchase a mobile trailer for hair cutting. Trailer will have a shower and ergonomic equipment. Owner, Charlene Thomas, was our 8/14/25 speaker.
Buffalo Dream Center $2,150
·       Award of $2,150 to purchase pallet jack, (2) refrigerators, and dolly. Organization provides meals and groceries to food deserts across the city of Buffalo, reaching 200,000+ people annually.
Friends of the Night People $5,674
·       Award of $5,674 to purchase hot food holding unit. The unit will dramatically increase the amount of prepared hot food to be stored prior to distribution.
Buffalo Maritime Center $3,000
·       Award of $3,000 to purchase vacuum systems for (6) workbenches, which will improve the health of the environment for the students and volunteers.
Buffalo Strings $4,100
·       Award of $4,100 to replace the carpet in Niagara Street location. Organization provides musical instruction to marginalized youth and refugees.
