Sunrise members had the opportunity in January to offer their personal thanks to sponsors at the annual Sponsor Appreciation Breakfast.Their support is critical to the Club. The sponsorships help cover the administrative costs of running our fundraising events, ensuring all of the money raised goes directly to the charities.
Three speakers gave testimonials on the positive impact Rotary funding, and sponsor support, has had on their organizations.
Cindy Perrodou of the St. Joseph's Lifecare Centre spoke about the beds, bed lifts and evacuation chairs St. Joseph's was able to purchase with a $53,000.00 donation from Rotary.
In addition, the Memory Box program was the recipient of more than $5,900.00 in funding.
Kerri VanSickle of Stedman Community Hospice explained the importance of both the Wind Phone Construction and Legacy Project Funding, which received $5,500.00 and $4,700.00, respectively, from Rotary.
Jennifer Barker spoke on behalf of the Brantford Blessing Centre, which served more than 49,000 hot meals to those in need in 2025. The $6,000.00 in funding received from Rotary Sunrise purchased a new double oven for the Centre, replacing an older, unreliable unit, prone to breakdown.
The Club also gave special recognition to 5 PLATINUM Sponsors for their ongoing and dedicated support over the past 5 years.
Brant Aero, Millards Chartered Professional Accountants, Royal Bank of Canada/RBC Wealth Management - Brantford, West Brant Window World and Dudley Lambert LLP were presented with a Certificate of Appreciation.
A sincere thank you to all of our sponsors, and to Stacey Bester and Sweet Bakery for the beautiful sponsor gift.
Congratulations to the Certificate recipients.
