Employment, housing, justice, addictions and mental health are the 5 key areas in which S.O.A.R. Community Services provides help to those in need in Brantford, Brant and Haldimand.
Kim Baker, Executive Director (R), and Katie Curtis (L), Senior Director of Services, gave Club members an overview of the many services the non-profit organization provides to the community.  S.O.A.R. has about 250 staff working across more than 60 programs, with a budget of $21.6 million dollars per year.  There are 13 locations in Brantford and Brant, with 2 locations in Haldimand, serving a total of 11,000 people.  S.O.A.R. (an acronym for Support, Opportunity, Achievement, Resilience) was formerly known as St. Leonard's Society and has been serving our community since 1968. Rotarian Birkin Culp thanked our speakers.
