The Rotary Club of Brantford’s 42nd Rotary Classic Run was an outstanding success, bringing together runners, walkers, volunteers, sponsors, schools, and community partners for an unforgettable day of fitness, fellowship, and giving back. Thanks to the incredible support of our community, the event has already exceeded $170,000 in net proceeds, with final totals expected to approach $190,000. These funds will directly benefit local charities serving children and youth in our community.One of the most inspiring highlights for this event is the participation of our elementary schools. Students embraced the opportunity to run, promoting healthy, active lifestyles and also raising thousands of dollars.
To recognize their outstanding efforts, top male and top female individual fundraisers each received a gift certificate generously donated by The Bicycle Shop, a local bicycle shop in Brantford. The bicycle shop has donated bikes and certificates for the 42 years the run has been in place.
This year the next highest fundraisers, placing third, fourth, and fifth, each received a gift certificate for Sportball Grand Erie program and sporting equipment.
Owner Jill stated that she was very excited to see the kids participate so actively and wanted to give back to celebrate their remarkable contributions.
