What is the purpose of these pages:
The term social media refers to a computer-based technology that facilitates the sharing of ideas, thoughts, and information through the internet. It gives users quick electronic communication of content, such as personal information, documents, videos, and photos.
That in itself lies the major problem for Rotary Clubs
- Why is it an advantage to use Social Platform
- Who in the club know how to use these platform?
- There are so many platforms which ones do we use?
- How do we post work in each platform?
Why use Social Media
Ask your members, "How many buy their local paper?" What is the price of a bill board? Social media has replaced all the old forms of building relationships, increasing your visibility and informing your community! From Baby Boomers to Millennials and beyond, your audience uses cell phones, and laptops to communicate and share. It is cheaper, and more efficient to have your club do so too.
The intent of the Social Media Tool Box is to provide you with the knowledge and ability to start using Social Media as a tool to improve your club.
We will limit the discussion to the Following Platforms:
- YouTube
- Instargam
- AR Codes
- Infographics
- Cyber Attacks
Each platform will have the following Subtopics
- Overview Basics including the value of this type of platform to club. What is audience demographics? Common type of message best used for ie: Announcements / Videos / Informational / accomplishments / Boost club awareness / Fun Awareness )
- Very Basic Operational procedures such as Setup, Input, Edit, delete and how to encourage followers.
