It is my pleasure to introduce you to our Rotary International Representative, PDG William, Bill, Pollard, Jr. Bill is a member of the Rotary Club of Churchland, Virginia. He was District Governor for Rotary District 7600 in 2008 – 2009. As Bill says, he is a Hokie, a banker, a runner and a basketballer, his term. Please join us, as PDG Bill Pollard shares President John Germ’s vision for this Rotary year…“Rotary Serving Humanity.”
Right off the bat PDG Bill fits right in with our Tail Gate Party, where any ball counts, doesn’t it? As Thurman Thomas cannot be with us he is donating some neat memorabilia for you to bid on. After you join your Rotarian friends for dinner, come on back for some conversation and tastings.
Saturday morning will be all things Rotary with some extras tossed in. How about self-defense? Greg from Dunnville, knows how to keep us safe. These events may range from individual undertakings and /or club events to raise awareness of all Rotarians and their communities of the good work accomplished through The Rotary Foundation, our Foundation.
District grants give Rotarians freedom in determining how to best spend funds donated to The Rotary Foundation by the clubs in their district. Each Rotary year, districts may apply for one district grant, which can be used to support one or more projects, based on the interest and needs of that district’s clubs. This grant is funded with District Designated Funds (DDF).

Previously, there have been challenges with bocce, dodgeball, bowling and skeet shooting - just to name a few! It’s always done in the spirit of fun and fellowship, and while both clubs have each won different competitions, we can’t say that winning has always passed the 4-Way Test!!
