The role of district operations is to inspire, support, and equip Rotary Club Leaders with the knowledge, resources, and tools to increase impact, expand their reach, enhance the club member experience, and adapt to the community.
We have had several key positions open up recently and I am proud of the Rotarians who have stepped forward to support our clubs. Please read the bios of these key leaders and how they’ll be able to support you in the upcoming year.

2025-2026 District 7090 Governor, Rotary Unite for Good
2020-2021 Past President, Rotary Opens Opportunities
John became a member of Rotary in 1990 and has been actively involved in his club ever since. He has served on many committees, including two terms as Treasurer, as Secretary, and three times as Club President (1998-1999; 2010-2011; and 2024-2025).
At the District level, John first became involved through the Youth Exchange committee and later as a member and chair of the Ambassadorial Scholarship committee. He has also served as chair of the District Scholarship and Grants Subcommittees, and from 2017 to 2020, he had the privilege of being the District 7090 Foundation Chair. Additionally, John served as District Treasurer from 2021 to 2024 and is currently the District’s Strategic Planning Chair.
John is a lifelong resident of Niagara, having grown up in Niagara Falls, attended the University of Waterloo, and later returned to the area. After becoming a Chartered Accountant in 1983, he joined a local firm, where he worked his way up to managing partner before retiring in 2023.
John is married to Evelyn, and they have two adult sons, Scott and Erik.
Sandi Chard is a member of the Rotary Club of St. Catharines Lakeshore alongside her husband Gary. With her professional background beginning in Simcoe, Ontario. Sandi earned her Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Accounting and Finance from McMaster University in Hamilton. Following graduation, the Chards brought their financial expertise and entrepreneurial spirit to St. Catharines, where they successfully operated a vibrant retail store for 35 years.
In 2014, Sandi enthusiastically joined Rotary and dove headfirst into numerous Foundation initiatives both at the club and district levels. Her dedicated leadership as Club President in 2017-18 brought both professional results and fun camaraderie, helping her club achieve the prestigious District Governor's Trophy.
As District Foundation Chair from 2021-24, Sandi's professional approach transformed the committee into a highly effective organization through engaging monthly District Foundation Newsletters, streamlined District Grants processes, and the creative establishment of the Best of Friends Heritage Endowment Fund. Her dynamic contributions extended to the District Board of Directors and the Public Image Committee.
Sandi will now bring her financial expertise and collaborative spirit to lead our Finance team that Melisa Schrock has expertly established as Finance Chair for our District 7090.
Kelly Kiebala, Assistant Area Governor for Albion/Medina/LeRoy/Holley/Batavia
Kelly is uniquely positioned to guide you towards your leadership goals. A dedicated advocate for positive change, Kelly's insights and expertise will illuminate your path to success like never before.
Currently serving as the Employment & Training Director for Orleans County and Chairperson of the Steering Committee for Leadership Orleans, Kelly is deeply committed to empowering individuals and organizations to reach their full potential. Her extensive involvement in various advisory boards and committees, including the Genesee Community College Perkins Local Advisory Council and Pathways to Success External Advisory Board, Iroquois Job Corps Community Relations and Workforce Advisory Councils and Orleans/Niagara BOCES CTE Advisory Council, underscores her dedication to driving positive change at both the local and regional levels.
But Kelly's impact extends far beyond her professional endeavors. As a passionate member of the Rotary Club in Albion and the New Generations Service Exchange Chair for Rotary District 7090, Kelly is deeply involved in community service and youth empowerment initiatives. Her leadership roles in the Village of Medina Tourism Committee and her previous positions as Director of the Genesee - Orleans Regional Arts Council and the Orleans County Chamber of Commerce highlight her unwavering commitment to fostering economic growth and cultural enrichment within her community.
Timothy Priano, District Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Chair
Raised in Tonawanda, New York, Timothy Priano grew up with a deep-rooted sense of community and purpose. The son of first-generation immigrants, he was instilled with a strong work ethic and the belief that success means giving back. His guiding mantra has always been simple: “Do something—and do some good.”
Alongside his family, Priano volunteered with church groups, the Salvation Army, and at countless local events. Always action-driven, he took initiative through booster clubs and fundraisers supporting the Boy Scouts, Little League, and other neighborhood causes. This early foundation shaped his lifelong commitment to community engagement.
After living in major cities across the country, Priano recently returned to his hometown of Tonawanda—now home again after 41 years away. He is actively involved in local civic life, serving as a Board Member and Chair of DEI for the League of Women Voters of Buffalo Niagara, President 24/25 of the Buffalo Sunrise Rotary Club, and a member of the Saturn Club.
Professionally, Priano has spent over 45 years building and running Artists by Timothy Priano (ABTP)—a respected agency representing top-tier beauty talent in hair, makeup, photography, and styling. Today, he operates ABTP alongside his daughter Victoria, proudly continuing the legacy of supporting and elevating creative professionals.
Assistant Area Governor - Akron/Clarence/Lockport Opening
The Assistant Area Governor supports club leaders with navigating Rotary International and District resources to increase impact, expand their reach, enhance the club member experience, and adapt to the community. Key responsibilities include: (a) visiting each club regularly to discuss the club activities, resources, and opportunities; (b) supporting clubs in setting and achieving goals, finding solutions to challenges, resolving conflicts, and meeting their and RI administrative requirements; (c) serve as a liaison between clubs and committees; (d) assess clubs’ ability to thrive and mentor club leaders on strategies to make their club successful; (2) encourage clubs’ involvement in activities and committees; (f) keep the governor and AG coordinator informed on progress of the clubs; (g) stay up to date on Rotary initiatives; (h) share status of clubs with successor; (i) recommend individuals to serve on committees; (j) identify successor in year 2 and mentor in year 3.
