Some ways you can help:
Editing: Download, review, proofread and polish submitted content (from clubs, district committees, district officers, etc.) to ensure clarity and quality.
New Content Creation Ideas:
> create stories about notable ongoing projects the district has initiated (HIP, GLWC, Niagara Greenway);
> introduce some of our “seasoned” Rotarians to the newer crop, honoring their accomplishments;
> describe some of the big, life-changing things done by our Rotarians, clubs and the district over the years;
(These types of "looking back" stories will help us create an easily accessible “vault” of historical interest, and hopefully instill some real pride in those who read the stories. They might form a repository of stories to provide to people who ask "What is Rotary, anyway?")
> run a “history of..." series about some of our older clubs and the district itself;
> feature a “Working Together Works Better” series, highlighting collaborations among clubs or with outside organizations;
> promote upcoming district events;
> suggest other "feature" stories.
Photography: Capture moments from club, district and RI events and meetings to include in our newsletter.
Design: Create visually appealing layouts and graphics in ClubRunner for the newsletter.
Organizing: arrange stories within newsletter, capture links to each story, create index.
Collaboration with our D7090 Public Image team to brainstorm content ideas and themes (i.e., “easter eggs” to engage readers).
Distribution: Helping to increase readership within the district.
